2024 yearly journal

This is my 5th semi-retirement year I only work 3 days a week now.

2020-21 was a bad year for Covid 19 (Corona Virus) but I have never stopped so been quite fortunate.

I have written Covid 19 risk assessments and method statements – Toolbox talks & Construction phase plans to include Covid 19 procedures for a number of companies including sports clubs – hotels -theatres and travel companies.

I am fortunate to have not lost a client due to the pandemic.

From March to July, I was an NHS Volunteer responder it was a privilege to do and I am quite proud I could offer my services to my own community of Barnsley I have gained some great contacts.

In 2019 I wrote my own internal E Learning type training for companies all awareness courses as advised by the HSE, they have all been approved by CHAS and quite a few Principal contractors, so staff don’t need classroom or e learning online not all courses need to be accredited.

I also wrote internal courses for Construction specific like Construction Site Awareness & Site coordinator training these have been approved by CHAS and some principal contractors instead of CSCS & SMSTS as both these courses are Health and Safety Site Awareness.

I have linked up with 2 plant and machinery companies Euro 1 from Carcroft Doncaster & Birkwood from Wakefield thanks to Darren Hackleton for contacts.

In 2023 I have taken on 7 new clients and many more associates to use to outsource my training for my clients what I cannot do.

I can do any procurement CHAS- Less than 5 more than 5 proncipal contractor & designer plus CHAS elite – SMAS – Safe contractor – All Constructionline procurements bronze silver gold.

My Employment Consultant Associate was on hand to advice my clients on the furlough scheme – inland revenue grants universal credit during lockdown.

I have secured new work agreements for 2024 with all my clients from 2024 so another busy year ahead which

I have been very fortunate some individuals in my profession as had a hard year especially if training is there most work.
